RETAIL ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

JOB TITLE:  Account Director – Retail

REPORTING TO: Business Director

LOCATION: Shoreditch office based with flexible working where appropriate  

CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time  

This is an exciting opportunity to lead some of our key client accounts, taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of beautiful work for some of the most exciting and premium brands in the world.

You will manage a variety of complex projects and campaigns globally, including the development of strategy and creative for retail spaces, activations, and the creation of global toolkits for our key clients.

Experience in Retail Marketing and in a senior Account Management or in-house role is essential, whether looking to take your next step in your career or further where you are already established as an Account Director.

Working with the Retail Business Director to develop a strategy to nurture our clients, ensuring the profitability and growth of client accounts.

Your day to day will involve the interrogation of client briefs, developing inspirational internal briefs for our creative and production teams, directing the strategic development of our creative work, and ultimately presenting and selling this effectively to clients. Experience of working with either culture, fashion, or lifestyle brands and on global retail campaign toolkits would be a great advantage.

At Broadwick Studio you will be working in close partnership with a studio of creatives, designers and producers delivering beautiful work on time and on budget.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our client’s position in the market, their points of difference and competitive landscape.

  • Maintain a detailed and demonstrated awareness of those market trends affecting our accounts, and developments in the wider industry.

  • Identify, develop, and convert business opportunities with existing and new clients.

  • Day-to-day senior client management and communication at the highest level.

  • Lead and inspire a growing team of Account Managers, delegating tasks to ensure the successful growth of the accounts and development of the team. 

  • Build presentations with an eye for design and high-level copy writing skills to articulate strategy and ideas in an impactful way.

  • Build and monitor project timelines & budget to ensure all workstreams remain on target and all deadlines / expectations are clear internally.

  • Ensure the profitability and growth of client accounts.

  • Negotiating contracts and fees with client and procurement personnel.

  • Reporting key financial and account data to senior leadership.

  • Foster an organised and thorough flow of information between all stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Ability to work independently and manage personal time, keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind.

  • Presentation of our work to client, this could be through a pitch, workshop, or online presentation.

  • Maintain and champion company process and tools. 

ABOUT YOU

  • You will understand the retail landscape and the importance and nuances of the consumer journey and brand strategy.

  • You will understand the importance of brand experience in retail and the evolution of the retail landscape.

  • You are good at evaluating creative and strategic work; able to give and receive feedback to support its development.

  • You have a strong understanding of the full marketing and creative mix and how retail connects and how it can support broader campaigns.

  • You are calm and extremely organised with a meticulous attention to detail and love of process.

  • You are an approachable leader, that strives to bring the energy, share your knowledge, learn from, and encourage direct reports.

  • You are an excellent verbal and written communicator.

  • You can present and talk through creative fluently, inspiring clients and those around you with your ability to talk through and sell in creative and complex thinking.

  • You are interested in culture and knowledgeable and passionate about our client’s business and know how we can contribute to their success.

  • You are a team player and keen collaborator injecting energy into projects and the team around you.

  • You have experience of distilling feedback and client requests into easy-to-understand briefs and actions.

  • You have a strong understanding of G-Suite / Microsoft Package / Keynote

  • You have a passion for streetwear / luxury brands and fashion and are interested in popular culture and trends.

  • You will like dogs – we have a dog friendly workspace and welcome pets into the office and team.
